Sitting in circle with new and old friends is always curious.
When we go around and introduce ourselves, what is there to say about yourself?
Especially when trying to explain what you do.
But who are you?
What labels do you apply to yourself?
Mother, healer, cancer survivor/thriver, student, wife…
It takes a very strong person not to fall into comparison, competition, measuring up.
Yet I feel, on some level, we all do.
On a subconscious level, I’m sure everyone is thinking, am I xxxx enough….
Funny, good, talented, bright, experienced… so many we could add here.
When it all boils down to it though, who are we measuring ourselves against?
Who is the judge?
Who even cares?
We do.
We all do.
And anyone would console you and tell you, yes of course you’re xxx enough.
But can they say that about themselves?
Are you xxx enough?
When you can accept and know that everyone on some level, questions themselves, doesn’t that make you laugh and realise how amazing we all are!!!
We are our harshest critic, but we have the power to silence that voice, because everyone is beautiful, courageous, strong and confident in their own beautiful way that is only being judged by the person within.
So give yourself a big compassionate hug, beautiful soul.
Tell that little inner child of yours, who is unsure, nervous and worried, that you’ve got this because…
You are enough!
We are all enough!
